The EFI Policy Portal is dedicated to collecting and displaying already existing information sources about forest and forest-related (cross-sectoral) policy processes, instruments and institutions that have shaped and influenced the development of the pan-European forest sector. The main objective is to ensure easy access to structured and up-to-date forest policy information useful for forest policy research and advice. By providing a comprehensive overview of relevant information sources, the policy portal maps the complexity and dynamics of the pan-European forest policy arena. It provides also linkages between FOREST EUROPE Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Forest Management and ToSIA indicators in relation to a particular forest policy process, instrument and institution.
