Three events are to be noticed in coming months : Ecotrons & Lysimeters - Nancy (France) - 29-31 March, 2010 an Urban soils session at the next European Geoscience Union (EGU) conference - Vienna (Austria) - 2-7 May, 2010 the IUSS World Congress - Brisbane (Australia) - 1-6 August, 2010 - Urban soil session : Pedogenesis and functioning of soils in urban and industrial area		An experiment is currently being made about the World Reference Base for soil resources, using semantic technologies : the Reference soil groups (RSG) and the related characteristics : Diagnostic horizons Diagnostic properties Diagnostic materials the soil qualifiers the soil specifiers
SUITMA symposia		SUITMA 2009
SUITMA symposia' data is processed through semantic technologies in order to exploit and value authors and papers issued during the symposia. First results can be looked at : SUITMA 2000 (symposium held in Essen, Germany) SUITMA 2003 (symposium held in Nancy, France) SUITMA 2005 (symposium held in Cairo, Egypt) SUITMA 2007 (symposium held in Nanjing, China) SUITMA 2009 (symposium held in New-York, United States) SUITMA 2011 (next symposium in Marrakech, Morocco)		SUITMA 2009 will take place in New-York, at the Graduate Center of the City University of New-York (CUNY) - 20th to 25th september 2009.
