IUSS World Congresses

From Wicri Urban Soils

Since 1927, World soil congresses have been held regularly, and are now scheduled every 4 years. The serie was initiated by the International Society of Soil Science (ISSS), which became the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) in 1998. The official announcement was made on the last day of the 16th World Congress of Soil Science (Montpellier - France).
