Abstract
Soft-feel paints are a strongly growing segment within the paint industry. They can not only be used for car interior paints, but also in many other areas of daily life. What is known as optic with normal paints, it is haptic with soft-feel paints. Haptic is the feeling you have touching these paints. As industry is looking always for new optical effects with standard paints, the soft-feel formulator is looking for new haptics for his paints. For resin developers it is a challenge not only to increase the technological properties of their systems, but also to give the paint industry the possibility to change and improve the appearance of their paints.
