Abstract

Highlights

We develop a Filippov infectious disease model with limited resources and selection pressures.

Sliding mode dynamics and its domain have been investigated.

Sliding bifurcations of model have been revealed in more detail.

Key parameters and their biological significance are determined.

Strategies for the prevention of emerging infectious disease have been addressed.
