Abstract

Recognition has grown regarding the importance of nonmotor dysfunction in the setting of Parkinson's disease. Autonomic involvement, including gastrointestinal, urinary, and sexual dysfunction is frequent and may significantly impair quality of life for affected individuals. Both recognition and attention to appropriate treatment are important for optimum clinical management. © 2010 Movement Disorder Society
