Abstract

This article, not excessively technical and meant for a broad public, seeks two things. First of all to offer an introduction to the thomistic informatic material presently available: two commercial CD-ROMS and the main thomistic websites on the Internet. The two CD-ROMS in question are: "Thomae Aquinatis Opera Omnia cum Hypertextibus in CD-ROM (Secunda Editio, Thesauro Addito)", Editel, Milano 1996, which contains the complete works of St. Thomas in Latin, and "The collected Works of Thomas Aquinas", Inte.Lex(®)Corporation, Clayton, Georgia, USA, which contains a significant part of the works of St. Thomas translated into English (more than fifty, the equivalent to 70%). A special consideration is given to the website of the "Thomas Institute of Utrecht" (http://www.ktu.ruu.nl/thomas /). The second aim of the article is to propose an outline of research methodology for the study of St. Thomas with the help of a personal computer, starting from the investigation on a certain lemma (key-word) and describing the different phases of the process up to the final written paper.
