They include woodcuts, mosaics, prints by a Japanese master, and an Egyptian hieroglyphic. Rembrandt' s “ Portrait of a Musician,” which is pre sumed to be Heinrich Schutz, is also reproduced. In addition, there are prints by contemporary artists Raoul Dufy and Georges Braque. Descriptions of the works are given in English and German. In quiry: Implications for Televised In struction reports a symposium cosponsored by the N E A Division of Audiovisual Instructional Service and the Center for the Study of Instruction which brought together learning theory and content specialists with directors of instructional television and encouraged them to experiment with new programing formats and goals. Inquiry contains the papers presented, questions and dis cussions raised, analyses of implications for instructional T V programing, and two related papers from another confer ence on educational T V. Sebastien de Brossard' s Dictionaire de Musique, originally published in 1705, is part of a series of early music dictionaries cur rently being reprinted. Among the educational films released by Coronet Films are many about music. The May 1966 issue of The Instructor was devoted to the relation of art and music to elementary and pre-school edu cation. Music instruction in the Chicago, Illinois, Head Start program was de scribed.
