Abstract

Three-dimensional numerical analyses of the settlements and the lateral displacement induced by the construction of a piled embankment were carried out. The proximity of a transmission tower founded on micropiles requested specific control of the displacements. Numerical results are compared to the displacements measured on four sections where the number of piles supporting the embankment was decreased
