Scientific objectives

understanding of the chemical reaction

The main objective of DCPR research concerns the understanding of the chemical reaction aiming at its application to process engineering. This consists of establishing laws, especially kinetic ones, which explain the matter transformation, due to either a thermal activation or a photonic one.

from the fundamental knowledge to industrial applications

The research results, in addition to their intrinsic fundamental interest, lead to concrete applications : fabrication of new products and objects, design of new or improved processes for matter transformation, energy production, environment protection, biological applications... In addition to the experimental part of the studies, the research needs to know how to control complex physico-chemical systems thanks to the phenomena modelling. This dual approach allows the DCPR to carry out an activity which ranges from the fundamental knowledge to industrial applications.
