The Alpine Convention is a framework that sets out the basic principles of all the activities of the Alpine Convention and contains general measures for the sustainable development in the Alpine region.

Objective To develop the common heritage of the Alps and preserve it for future generations through transnational cooperation involving both countries and local authorities, as well as the scientific community, the private sector and the civil society.
