Abstract
Southern Finland was a partner of the European Commission funded telematics project, InterCare, which developed and demonstrated a www-based regional architecture, services and application integrated with smart cards. The InterCare project combined the results from smart cards, mobile emergency services, seamless care, common objects and security projects. The developed services are available as ASP-services for the healthcare organisation in different levels and sectors (primary, secondary and private healthcare providers). The services can also be used in migration to EPR.
