The goal of the Document Image Processing Toolbox project is to investigate methods and to develop software to process document images in support of projects involving document analysis or electronic publishing. Past efforts have resulted in document image segmentation software and a system to evaluate optical character recognition (OCR) accuracy. During the last year, the segmentation software was simplified, streamlined, and folded into several other projects
