Abstract
We describe a new model of angle-supported phakic intraocular lens, the Duet-Kelman lens, the design of which incorporates two separate supporting parts. The haptic and the optic are separately implanted and then fixed together inside the eye. The lens allows optic or haptic exchange depending on the anatomical, refractive, and visual outcome of the patient. Results of the initial pilot study are presented.
