Abstract
The ternary intermetallic TmAgSi compound which crystallizes in the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type crystal structure. TmAgSi has been investigated by means of magnetic, heat capacity and neutron diffraction measurements. The experimental data revealed the presence of an antiferromagnetic ordering below TN = 3.3 K with the magnetic moments lying within the basal plane. At 1.5 K they are equal to 6.31 (6) μB. The determined magnetic structure is non-collinear and can be described by three different propagation vectors: k? = [1/2,0,0], k?'= [-1/2,1/2,0] and k?"= [0,-1/2,0].
