Solonchak

A solonchak (SC) can be defined through :

• a salic horizon starting within 50 cm from the soil surface

and :

• no diagnostic horizons other than a histic, mollic, ochric, takyric, yermic, calcic, cambic, duric, gypsic or vertic horizon
