- Thaptaluandic (aab): having one or more buried layers, cumulatively 15 cm or more thick, with andic properties and an acid oxalate (pH 3) extractable silica content of less than 0.6 percent, or an Alpy53/Alox54 of 0.5 or more, within 100 cm of the soil surface.
