Abstract
Les démarches d’ingénierie des systèmes d’information ne sont pas satisfaisantes. Elles sont le plus souvent informellement et peu clairement définies, se bornent à suggérer une organisation du cycle de vie du système en étapes globales, ne fournissent pas un guidage fin des activités de développement et en conséquence ne sont pas utilisées comme elles le prescrivent. Cet article propose une approche pour définir, de manière systématique, des démarches d’ingénierie remédiant aux limitations précédentes. Les démarches sont obtenues par instanciation des concepts d’un méta-modèle de processus qui est capable de prendre en compte une grande variété de situations d’ingénierie dans une perspective décisionnelle. Fondées sur les propriétés du méta- modèle, les démarches sont formellement définies, avec un bon niveau de généricité et dans une forme modulaire qui facilite leur évolution et leur enrichissement. Elles sont conçues pour guider automatiquement la prise de décision au fur et à mesure de l’avancement du processus d’ingénierie. L’article présente l’approche et l’illustre par la démarche développée dans le cadre du projet européen ESPRIT ‘F3’ (From Fuzzy to Formal).
The systems engineering community is not satisfied with existing ways-of- working which are too large-grained descriptions of the system life-cycle, unclearly defined, do not guide engineers efficiently and consequently, are not used as intended. We propose in this paper, an approach for defining ways-of-working in a systematic manner, which is aiming at overcome these limitations. It is a meta-modelling approach in which a given way-of-working is constructed by instantiation of a process meta-model allowing to deal with a large variety of situations in a flexible, decision-oriented manner. Based on the properties of the meta-model, ways-of-working are formally defined, with an appropriate level of genericity, in a modular way facilitating their evolution and improvement. They are designed for providing an automated and flexible guidance in decision making while the process proceeds. The paper presents the approach and examplifies it with the way-of-working defined within the Esprit project F3.
