Abstract
Abstract: In this paper we present the MYRTILLE II Speech Understanding system for a subset of French Language. The original parallel architecture of this system is described, together with the data structures used at the lexical, syntactic and semantic levels of processing. Syntax and semantics are integrated in a unified representation which makes it possible to use these knowledge sources in an efficient way. The acoustic phonetic recognition process is not described here but the operation of the system is given in details and examples of sentence processing are given and discussed.
