Abstract
EI helps provide, an organisation, with a comprehensive understanding of its environment. This concept aimed at helping in their decision processes improves the management of informational flows within the organisation. Since two individuals will not necessarily have the same interpretation of the same information, it is then necessary to have an information system that will help the user find information relevant to his needs.
We are proposing a model based on the identification of the needs of the user that integrates his individual characteristics, his activities, his objectives, and the usage context of the results found as well as the set of information available. The model helps to better understand users' expectations in terms of their evolutions either with the system, in their working domain or in their information needs.
This model is then transformed into a graphical interface developed for use with the information search engine developed within the research team SITE
We are proposing a model based on the identification of the needs of the user that integrates his individual characteristics, his activities, his objectives, and the usage context of the results found as well as the set of information available. The model helps to better understand users' expectations in terms of their evolutions either with the system, in their working domain or in their information needs.
