<p>Jim McCaffery has more than 25 years of experience providing organizational performance consulting services to clients that include international and multilateral organizations, private companies, U.S. government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. On the PRIME II project, Jim has been the Training Resources Group's partner liaison and has acted as co‐chair of the Performance Improvement Technical Leadership Area. In that capacity, he has helped develop and adapt PRIME's approach to using performance improvement methods in international health settings. In addition, he has worked with PRIME II's global team to document lessons learned from field experience. He is also an expert at helping organizations design and implement restructuring programs to become more effective and competitive in today's work environment. His specialties include organizational development, management systems consulting, strategic planning, team building, and executive development. He holds a PhD in Education and a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin. Jim may be reached atjmccaffery@trg‐inc.com.</p>

<p>Michelle Heerey has served as Senior Program Officer for Quality and Performance Improvement at JHU/CCP since 2000. She has expertise in interpersonal communication and counseling; capacity building; and program design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation for quality improvement. In addition to providing technical assistance to JHU/CCP programs globally, she manages research and development of innovations in strategic communication related to such topics as dual protection, regulatory approaches to quality improvement, client and community defined quality, performance improvement, and empowering clients' communication skills in the context of IPC/C. From 1998 to 2000, Michelle was the USAID/Washington Coordinator of the Maximizing Access and Quality (MAQ) Initiative. She has worked in international development over the past eight years with programs in Indonesia, the Philippines, Senegal, Ghana, and Tunisia.</p>

<p>Kirsten P. Böse has more than 11 years experience in development communication and production, HIV/AIDS, adolescent reproductive health, and management. She has held numerous technical and management positions on large‐scale reproductive health projects focusing on HIV/AIDS, youth, couple communication, men's participation, and quality assurance. Kirsten has provided leadership on key BCC projects through the development of strategic workplans and milestones, negotiations with USAID and local NGOs, and in mentoring and supervising project staff. As Senior Program Officer in the Africa Division, she is responsible for designing youth HIV/AIDS prevention campaigns, developing messages and materials, providing oversight of grants management in Nigeria, and providing long‐term technical support to their implementation. In Zambia, Kirsten was an integral member of the HEART campaign design team, a multi‐faceted intervention promoting adolescent sexual responsibility through TV and radio PSAs, youth sports camps and counseling. Also, she served as Chief of Party of the Zambia Family Planning Services Project in the absence of the COP. Kirsten has considerable experience in technical and administrative management of FP/HIV/AIDS projects including overseeing local and overseas staff and consultants, fielding technical assistance for field offices, and being a liaison with USAID cooperating agencies and local NGOs.</p>
