Abstract

The psycholinguistic analysis of the verbalizations of people suffering from mental health disorders (stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, etc.) now benefits from the contributions of predictive linguistics and from the techniques of machine learning in artificial intelligence. It thus allows patients' words to be taken into account in a more systematic and rigorous manner, in order to prevent illnesses and to improve care. Advances in this type of semi-automated analysis augur well for diagnosis aid systems in psychiatry and clinical psychology, as well as automated mental health monitoring systems. This article presents an overview of the foundations of this innovative methodology, with a practical application aimed at the assessment and analysis of psychotrauma following a pandemic.

            <abstract xml:lang="fr">              <p>L'analyse psycholinguistique des verbalisations des personnes souffrant de désordres de santé mentale (stress, anxiété, dépression, idéation suicidaire, etc.) bénéficie désormais des apports de la linguistique prédictive et des techniques d'apprentissage de l'intelligence artificielle. Elle permet ainsi de prendre en considération la parole des patients de manière plus systématique et plus rigoureuse, et cela en vue de la prévention et de l'amélioration du soin. Les progrès réalisées dans ce type d'analyses semi-automatisées augurent de système d'aide au diagnostic en psychiatrie et en psychologie clinique, ainsi que de systèmes de veille automatisés en santé mentale. Le présent article présente un aperçu des fondements de cette méthodologie innovante, avec une application pratique visant l'évaluation et l'analyse des psychotraumatismes dus à une pandémie.
