Abstract

Parkinson's disease is typically characterised by loss of function and previous abilities, often accompanied by complications of treatment in later stages of the disease. We report on a patient who newly developed an artistic skill after starting treatment for Parkinson's disease. This case offers insight into the neurology of the artistic process as well as into the pathophysiology of psychiatric adverse reactions to the treatment of PD. © 2001 Movement Disorder Society.
