<ce:simple-para>Preparation of 12-hydroxydodecanoic acid 4,4′-dimethoxytrityl ether: 1 g (4.62 mmol) 12-Hydroxydodecanoic acid was twice co-evaporated with 20 ml of dry pyridine, then dissolved in dry pyridine (20 ml). 1.72 g (5.08 mmol) 4,4′-dimethoxytrityl chloride were added. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight, then quenched with MeOH (5 ml), evaporated, diluted with CH
