Abstract

Summary: Technological advances in the field of nucleic acid analysis were the object of a recent meeting held in Lisbon. This report presents those techniques that may be most useful for immunologists as well as some of their potential applications. The topics covered include automation, quantitative PCR and its alternatives, oligonucleotide chips, and in situ hybridization and PCR.
