Abstract
Differentiation between infectious and non-infectious cellulitis is a frequent clinical issue. Often, there is no proven portal of entry for infection and it is difficult to obtain a positive culture. Two case stories with recurrence of postoperative cellulitis are presented. Lymphoedema, often seen post surgery, is itself inflammatory and may cause inflammatory cellulitis. In recurrent cases of cellulitis without any effect of antibiotic treatment, inflammatory cellulitis should be considered.
