Abstract
Abstract: Triangular interpolants have recently become popular in the Computer Aided Geometric Design area since they are applicable to arbitrarily located data. In this paper, we characterize a certain class of C2 discrete triangular interpolants. To show that the class considered is valuable in the computer aided design environment, we create, according to the characterized result, two C2 discrete triangular interpolants which have concise expressions and thus are suitable for practical use. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the created interpolants.
