Abstract

The microvascular osteocutaneous fibula free flap can provide an esthetic restoration of mandibular discontinuity defects. When the graft is favorably positioned, osseointegrated implants may be placed and a functional restoration completed. When tongue function is not compromised, the patient is able to control saliva and the food bolus and can show excellent speech. This clinical report of a patient who has undergone a mandibular resection, fibula free flap reconstruction, and implant‐supported fixed prosthodontic restoration shows such treatment.
