Abstract

Abstract: The disjunct principle of partial denture design is now well accepted as a sound method of meeting the problem of the lower free-end saddle. It is particularly useful where the remaining natural teeth are periodontally involved and where the saddle areas are atrophic. The two modifications described here, which have been used in a number of cases, appear to have advantages over other disjunct designs.
