Abstract
Notolimea clandestina new species (Bivalvia: Limidae) is described from the littoral of the Strait of Gibraltar. The small size (1 mm) and the persistence of the larval hinge suggest a neotenous species. Its area of distribution is likely to be restricted to the Strait of Gibraltar.
