Abstract

Abstract: The use of intralesional injections of triamcinolone acetonide in an edentulous patient produced healing of the oral lesions of benign mucous membrane pemphigoid and allowed the prosthodontist to construct new dentures, thus minimizing further trauma to the oral tissues. The method described will not prevent recurrence of oral ulceration in this condition, but any subsequent severe ulceration can be similarly controlled.
