Abstract

Abstract: This is a report of a removable partial denture supported in part by an endosseous blade implant. During the period of observation since insertion of the prosthesis, (1) the implant has remained stable, (2) there has been no observable bone loss adjacent to the implant, (3) the tissues adjacent to and surrounding the implant post are healthy, and (4) the patient's acceptance of the prosthesis and the implant has been enthusiastic.By using artificial abutments, we can improve removable prostheses and provide better service to our patients. The endosseous blade implant is a new procedure, and research has yet to confirm that the removable partial prosthesis is or is not an acceptable prosthesis to use in conjunction with this type of implant.
