<p>Giovanni Di Minno is Professor of Clinical Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, “Federico II” University Hospital, Naples, Italy and President Elect of the Association of the Italian Haemophilia Centres (2014–2017). His main field of interest is immunotolerance induction and prevention of rheumatologic and psychological complications in patients with hemophilia. Mariana Canaro is Associate Doctor of Haematology at the Haemostasis and Thrombosis section and Haemophilia Unit at the Son Espases Universitary Hospital, Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Her main field of interest is treatment and Quality of Life in patients with hemophilia. James W. Ironside is Professor of Clinical Neuropathology and Head of the Laboratory Group in the National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Research and Surveillance Unit, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK. His main field of interest is the characteristics and transmissibility of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and other human spongiform encephalopathies. David Navarro is Full Professor of Microbiology at the School of Medicine, University of Valencia and Head of Molecular Biology and Virology areas of the Microbiology Service, Hospital Clínico Universitario of Valencia, Valencia, Spain. His main field of interest is molecular and clinical virology, in particular concerning herpes viruses. Carlo F. Perno is Professor of Virology at the Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery and Director of the Unit of Molecular Virology, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. His main field of interest is antiviral therapy, advanced clinical diagnostics in virology and clinical interpretation of antiviral resistance testing. Andreas Tiede is Head of Hemostasis and Thrombosis at the Department of Haematology, Haemostasis, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation, Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany. His main field of interest is treatment of hemophilia, acquired hemophilia and von Willebrand syndrome. Lutz Gürtler is Emeritus Professor at the Max von Pettenkofer Institute for Hygiene and Medical Microbiology, University of München, Munich, Germany. His main field of interests are virology, bacteriology and safety of blood supplies.</p>
