Abstract
Zusammenfassung: 1 Infolge der geringen Individuenzahl und der Standortstreue der Asiliden treten sie nicht als wirksames Gegengewicht bei Buchdrucker‐Vermehrungen in Erscheinung. Auch zählen zu ihrer Beute viele indifferente fliegende Insekten. 2 Bei geringen Vorkommen des Ips typographus können die Raubfliegen jedoch Bedeutung gewinnen, da unter diesen Umständen schon geringe Käferverluste die Population merklich schwächen. 3 Die Larven der Asilide Laphria gilva L. stellen in ihrem Habitat Larven und Puppen von Rüßlern und Bockkäfern nach. 4 Die Ursache des großen Ausfalles an Asiliden während ihrer Entwicklung bleibt ungeklärt. Neben Spechten und räuberischen Insektenlarven scheinen Mermithiden (Nematoden) eine Rolle zu spielen. Summary: 1 Asilids are not effective in preventing the increase of Ips typographus on account of their small numbers and specificity of habitat. Many unspecified flying insects are also amongst their prey. 2 Robber flies can, nevertheless, gain importance when only small numbers of Ips typographus are concerned. Here, even small beetle losses will materially weaken the population. 3 The larvae of the Asilid, Laphria gilva L., feed on the larvae and pupae of weevils and Cerambycids in their habitat. 4 The reason for great losses of Asilids during development ist not yet clear. In addition to woodpeckers and predatory insects, Mermithids (Nematoda) also appear to be concerned.
