Abstract
The paper takes into consideration a few basic aspects of the thought of Raimon Panikkar (1918-2010), one of the foremost and truly original theologians and philosophers of the 20th century, whose Opera Omnia is being printed by the Italian publisher Jaca Book (Milan). After briefly dealing with Panikkar's view of the basic question, i.e. philosophy itself in a cross-cultural perspective, and without neglecting the mystical experience, the A. - moving from his point of view, which is an indological one - focuses on the so called "cosmotheandric" intuition and the "dialogical" dialogue between cultures and religions, concluding with a mere hint to the mystery of the Christian Trinity.
