<note type="biography">She is particularly interested in legal and literary intersections in the long eighteenth century and in the last year has published articles on ‘Eighteenth‐Century Adultery Trials Viewed through Žižek's Lens’; on Charlotte Dacre's Zofloya and Caroline Norton's ‘Letter on the Infant Custody Bill’ in terms of the gothic and the political sublime; and on ‘The Silent Woman in the Criminal Conversation Trial and the Displaced Defences’ found in letters and novels. She is currently completing a book about law and literature's engagements with offences on the disputed margins of criminalization, ‘Negotiating Transgression’.</note>
