Abstract
Felice Ippolito has turned his clever attention also towards epistemological questions to which he has contributed with original and remarkable ideas which, notwithstanding that, have been quite neglected. Only recently his philosophical thought has been re-appreciated. In this brief historic-critical note, we wish to retake the main lines of his philosophical thought in view of possible applications, so highlighting, amongst other, what pragmatic utility may have history of science. Precisely, taking into account the historicist perspective of the Ippolito's thought applied to a particular case study regarding the singular geomorphological setting of the underground of the town of Ragusa, it will be possible to historicistically revalue (accord-ing to Ippolito) that work of industrial archaeology given by those numerous natural and artifi-cial hypogeum structures (provided by natural underground quarries and asphalt mines) of Ra-gusa's land, and, at present, practically abandoned (excepts some pilot project). Instead, just thanks to this kind of historic-critical examinations, this industrial archaeological work might be usefully exploited, for instance, for the geophysical control and monitoring of seismic risk.

In questo lavoro si vogliono riprendere, molto brevemente, le linee essenziali del suo pensiero filosofico, proprio in vista di possibili applicazioni tecniche, rimar-cando così, tra l'altro, quale utilità, anche a fini pragmatici, può avere la storia delle scienze. Precisamente, considerando la prospettiva storicistica del suo pensiero applicata ad un partico-lare e singolare contesto geomorfologico del sottosuolo della città di Ragusa e del suo territorio provinciale, sarà possibile rivalutare storicisticamente (nello spirito d'Ippolito) quell'opera di archeologia industriale costituita dalle numerose strutture ipogee naturali ed artificiali (miniere d'asfalto e cave naturali) presenti nel territorio ragusano, allo stato attuale pressoché abbando-nate (ad eccezione di qualche progetto pilota in fase sperimentale), ma che, invece, proprio da questa disamina storico-critica, potrebbero essere utilmente sfruttate, per esempio, in ambito geofisico, nel controllo e monitoraggio del rischio sismico.</abstract></profileDesc></hal></record>Pour manipuler ce document sous Unix (Dilib)
