Abstract

The wave-number differences and the intensities of the hyperfine structure components of the green mercury line (λ = 5461 ÅU) are measured in absorption. They are found in good accordance with Schüler's theory, if the interpretation of the structure of the central components is slightly altered. The centres of gravity of the isotope lines 199 and 201 coincide with the lines 198 and 200 resp.
