Abstract
Graf Wolfgang II. von Hohenlohe war wie Kaiser Rudolf II. von Habsburg und andere fürstliche Zeitgenossen ein Liebhaber der Alchemie. In Schloß Weikersheim, seiner Residenz, hatte er ein Laboratorium eingerichtet, in dem er eigenhändig experimentierte. Reichhaltiges Quellenmaterial zu diesem Thema vermittelt ein anschauliches Bild von der Alchemie an einem Fürstenhof der Renaissance.
