Abstract

In Belgium, broadcasting is taken care of by an organization under state control: the Belgian National Broadcasting Service. Owing to the fact that Belgium is inhabited by two peoples of different language and culture, the broadcasting service is managed from a cultural point of view by two literary and musical groups, one Flemish and the other French. In addition, some of the broadcasts to frontier towns, and to the provinces of Lièege and Luxembourg, are in German.
