<meta-value> “Coming to Our Senses” Thank you for the extensive review of the Rockefeller Panel report Coming to Our Senses: The Significance of the Arts for American Education [“Arts, Education, and Americans: The Rockefeller Panel Releases Its Report,” MEI, September 1977, page 78]. We are using the panel's report as the basic textbook in our course “Learning Theory in the Classroom: Emphasis—The Arts.” The course is in the sequence of our program “Planning and Implementing Individualized Instruction, K-12.” We find that enrolling teachers of all levels and disciplines in one course helps all in coming to their senses insofar as seeing the arts as an integral experience essential for all students.
