Abstract

Hazards to the development of natural resources information systems were identified. A natural resource information system for Hawaii agriculture and environment management and planning was completed. Several applications are included for the purpose of demonstrating the usefulness of the system. The components of the system and the method of digitizing resource data are also discussed so that potential system users can determine whether the reported system is applicable to them.
