Abstract
The Fifty‐Fifth Annual Meeting of AGU was held April 8–12, 1974, at the Sheraton‐Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Total registration was 2775, of whom 2050 were members, 325 were student members, and 400 were nonmembers. Last year's registration was 2502. The meeting program, including abstracts of papers presented, was published in the April 1974 issue of EOS, pages 209–498. The present report highlights various features of the meeting and delineates postdeadline program changes.
