<p>International Negotiation 6: 295–296, 2001. 295 INTERNATIONAL NEGOTIATION: A JOURNAL OF THEORY AND PRACTICE Guidelines for Authors Submitted articles and proposals for thematic issues should be sent (in triplicate) to: Dr. Bertram I. Spector, Editor-in-Chief, Center for Negotiation Analysis, 11608 Le Havre Drive, Potomac, Maryland 20854, USA; fax: 301–309–1962; email: negocenter@msn.com Manuscripts should be typed double-spaced with wide margins using American English spelling. The first page should contain the title, and the author’s name, affiliation, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. A 3–4 sentence biographical sketch for the author is desirable. The second page should include an abstract of no more than 250 words and 5–10 key words. Endnotes should be numbered consecutively, typed double-spaced and placed on separate pages at the end of the text, preceding the references. References in the text should follow the author-date format and, if necessary, include the page cited. For example, (Brown 1986), (Jones 1978a, 1978b), (Smith and Johnson 1983: 125). References should be typed double- spaced and in alphabetical order beginning on a separate page following the endnotes. Journal and book titles should be underlined or italicized. Examples: Articles within a journal : Putnam, Robert (1988) “Diplomacy and domestic politics: The logic of two-level games,” International Organization 42(1): 427–460. Articles within edited books : Sergeev, Victor M. (1991) “Metaphors for understanding international negotiation,” in Victor Kremenyuk, editor, International Negotiation: Analysis, Approaches. Issues . San Francisco, CA: Jossey-Bass Inc. Books : Raiffa, Howard (1982) The Art and Science of Negotiation . Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press.</p>
<p>296 GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively, provided in camera- ready form, submitted on separate sheets, and placed at the end of the document. It is the responsibility of authors to verify all references, quotations, titles, names and dates for accuracy before submitting the manuscript. The author is responsible for obtaining written permission for quotations from any work still in copyright. All submissions will be independently reviewed for quality, originality and contribution to the field, and may be returned to authors for revision. If accepted for publication, a hard copy of the manuscript and a computer disk containing the text will be required. Twenty-five offprints will be provided without charge to the first-named author. Additional offprints may be ordered when the page proofs are returned to the publisher. No page charges are levied on the authors or their institutions. Copyright is established in the name of Kluwer Law International. Submission of a paper for publication implies that the copyright reverts to the publisher from the author and also that the article has not been published previously and is not being considered currently for publication elsewhere.</p>
