Abstract
Endocarditis on pacemaker lead is rare (0.07 to 0.15%). We report two cases of endocarditis occurring two years after pacemaker implantation. Clinical signs were limited to moderate fever with no obvious etiology. The hemocultures were positive (staphylococcus epidermidis). Transthoracic echocardiography was normal, but the diagnosis could be confirmed by trans oesophageal echocardiography. The medical treatment was associated to the removal of the lead.
