Abstract

Le phénomène de l'urbanisation ne peut être contesté, avec désormais plus des trois quarts de la population de la France habitant dans des villes. Pourtant, il est loin d'être uniforme. Il importe donc d'analyser la recomposition de la France durant les trois dernières décennies. Il en résulte une typologie, avec trois types principaux de villes en croissance démographique et trois types principaux de villes en déclin démographique.
