Abstract
Aquatic ecosystems are naturally open hierarchical systems. They are crossed by energetic fluxes that structure them. One of these fluxes is mass transport that is carried by fluid flow. This flow is the essential vector for interaction inside the system and thus one of the main contributor to emergent formations structuring these ecosystems. Furthermore, to follow ecosystem evolution, we have to observe and represent organizations that span over different scales. We present a fluid flow simulation which dynamically detect emergent formations, then manage them on different scales.
