Abstract
A detailed radical mechanism of "chloro-pyrolysis" of methane is proposed, it explains the formation of the vinyl chloride at high temperature (around 1000°C) in agreement with our experimental results and other kinetic studies. The analysis of mechanism allows to find the best operating conditions for increasing the vinyl chloride yield.
