Abstract

PROPLANE is an environment supporting formal specification activity by providing methodological assistance during the development process. The central key of the system is the notion of operator : the development of a specification is defined as a sequence of steps in which each step maps a development state to the next one by application of some operator. Operators separate the design concepts from the technical details of how they are captured in the target specification language.
