Abstract

The goal of this research is to contribute to the implementation of decision-making aids for the constitution of company networks. The paper focuses on information extraction mechanisms required before applying decision-making approaches. As a base assumption, we work on an open universe of partners, composed by Internet network. The objective is to extract key information on competences characterizing potential partners, in order to later analyze similarities among company's competence profiles. Competence similarity is one of the main parameters to be considered when building collaborative networks. The paper first highlights the method followed to build the competence ontology used for this work. Then, "semantic patterns" are proposed, to make the best use of the ontology, when extracting company competence traces.
